About Me
I'm Hemant Samal, based in Panchkula, Haryana. I wear multiple hats — and I wear them well. By day I'm a Senior Network Administrator, managing and securing infrastructure for applications. Alongside that, I help families secure their financial futures as an LIC Insurance Advisor. And whenever the mountains call, I answer.
I believe that a full life is built on more than one thing. Technology, people, and nature — they each teach me something different. This page is my little encyclopedia of all three.

The mountains are where everything makes sense. Trekking isn't just a hobby for me — it's a way of thinking, a way of being present. From the lush valleys of Himachal to the sacred trails of Uttarakhand.
There's something profoundly humbling about standing on a ridge with nothing but sky above you and a trail behind you. I started trekking as a way to disconnect from screens and reconnect with something real.
Every trail has its own personality. Some are forgiving and beautiful. Some are brutal and demand everything you have. All of them teach you something about yourself. That's why I keep going back.
Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are my favourite playgrounds — but I've explored trails beyond these states too, always chasing new landscapes and new perspectives.
